Teenager Rescues Bumblebee And Keeps It As Pet
This is one of the craziest stories I’ve come across in a while. Lacey Shillinglaw is a 13-year-old in the UK who caught sight of a fluffy bumblebee lying in the road a few weeks ago while taking her dog for a walk. In a move, I will never get, Lacey picked up the bee, then noticed it had a bad wing and put it in a safer spot in a nearby park. Now, the story REALLY gets weird. Like some sort of cartoon or fairy tale, the bee refused to stay in its transplanted spot and kept buzzing back to, and crawling on Lacey. Soon, Lacey gave up and headed home with a bee on her shoulder.
Now “Betty” the bee won’t leave. She shares cookies with Lacey and it even sleeps next to her. Seriously, children’s books are written with this premise, right? Unbelievable.
