The Harvest Moon Rises Tonight as Fall Officially Begins
The beautiful and magical Harvey Moon rises tonight and this marks the end of the astronomical Summer. In 2021, the autumnal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere occurs on September 22th, 2021. This is the official beginning of fall.
“Depending on the year, the full Harvest Moon can occur anywhere from two weeks before the autumn equinox to two weeks after. The Harvest Moon is either the last full moon of the summer season or the first full moon in autumn,” the astronomy site EarthSky explains.
Tonight when you look up at the sky, make your moon water and supercharge your intentions. A fun full moon mantra you can try tonight is, “Tonight the energy I release is negative. I exhale all my limiting beliefs, regrets from the past, and unhealthy thoughts.” The moon will be at its fullest at 7:55 pm EST.
