The Sleepy Poet in Charlotte is Closing it’s Original Location
If you’ve gone searching at the Sleepy Poet you know it is a magical place. It is a place where you can time travel and discover hidden treasures. I’ve spent hours upon hours wandering through the antique mall stalls, but now things are about to change.
The Sleepy Poet Antique Mall announced on social media that on October 30th it will be closing its doors on South Boulevard. Just a few miles away, at 6424 South Blvd, the business will soon reopen. Dickson Shreffler, the owner of the business, bought the property after leasing it at 4450 South Blvd. for the past 13 years.
With this move, The Sleep Poet said deals are up to 75% off at the current store to help clear inventory. My excitement over this change is huge. More space means more treasure hunting! The new location will open on November 1st from 11 am to 6 pm.
According to Instagram, the new location will feature The Poet’s Vault. It will feature records, games, comics, toys, and many more hits. The Poet’s Vault will be opening on Monday, November 1st at 11 AM. The full week of hours is listed below.
- Monday – Thursday: 11 AM – 6 PM
- Friday & Saturday: 11AM – 7PM
- Sunday: 12PM – 6PM
- Only Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas
