Binge-Worthy Netflix Show You’ve Never Heard Of
So, I’m going to be shaking cobwebs out of my head today as I’m recovering from a final 4 hour binge-after the football games last night-of a show that I’d NEVER heard of before. I will admit that most of the time I ignore “suggestions” from Amazon, Netflix, etc. And I don’t know why I paid attention to this one Friday night, but I’m glad I did. Apparently, “In From the Cold” debuted on Netflix a week or two ago.
If you like James Bond/Jason Bourne/Mission Impossible movies, if you liked shows like “24” and “Alias,” then you are going to be all about “In From the Cold.” Okay, I’m going to try to give you a synopsis, without spoiling everything. “Jenny” (Margarita Leviera-pictured abovie) is a single mom accompanying her daughter to a figure skating competition in Spain. Only Jenny is nowhere near what she appears to be, unless you guess automatically that the librarian-looking skater mom is actually a former deadly, Soviet spy who has been hiding in plain sight for the last 20+ years. What unfolds over the next 8 episodes is a wild ride that has me begging for season 2. And two days ago, I’d never even heard of it. “In From the Cold” is waiting for you to binge it on Netflix right now. And just warning you, you’re not ready for the last 2 minutes!
