Psychotic Russian Sport Gives Insight Into Culture?
So first off, don’t be fooled by the picture of basketballs above. The only reason for its use is apparently, this is the ball used for “Russian Regball.” I’m a sportsman. I’m a sports fanatic. I’m a lifelong competitor and sports participant. I have NEVER seen anything as psychotic as what you’ll see below in this video of what is apparently a popular Russian sport.

“Regball is some sort of bizarre mashup of basketball and (of all things) wrestling. The rules? I thought you’d never ask. According to the sport’s governing federation: “Rules are very simple: everything is allowed, except for foot pegs, shocks in the back and a clear provocation to the collision.” Not to paint with a broad brush or read into this with recency bias, but when you watch this…it gives some possible cultural clarification for Russian’s actions?
