Scientists Decode Pig Grunts To Determine Emotional State
We have always been amused by what our tax dollars have gone towards in terms of scientific research. If it was up to us, all of the funds would go towards fighting disease, advancing technology, really anything that truly benefits the moving forward of man. BUT, it’s not up to us, so consequently what we get are things like this. Scientific studies trying to translate the grunts of pigs.

Alas, a team of European scientists claim to have indeed unlocked the code of what your pigs are thinking feeling. They analyzed over 7,000 grunts from over 400 swine, and claim to have been able to identify pigs’ emotions from those grunts. The study’s authors claim their discoveries can improve pig and animal welfare all over the world. Great. Can we get back to improving the welfare of mankind now?!
