Morgan Wallen To Release Song That Hits Home For A Lot Of Us
We originally posted this blog back in October. At the time, who knew if this song would ever see the light of day, however this morning, we got this news. Morgan Wallen is releasing a new song called, “Don’t Think Jesus,” and the song brought Wallen to tears when he first heard the song in his truck. While previewing the song on TikTok, Wallen captioned the song snippet, “Good Friday,” which is when the song will be released. The emotional song is about a boy who is busy chasing women, drinking whiskey, and “getting stoned,” until he realizes, “Jesus didn’t do it that way.” So, here’s what we posted then, and if you missed it, enjoy it today!

It made me cry in the truck.” That’s the way this video begins from Morgan Wallen as he performs an acoustic version of a new song, “Don’t Think Jesus.” In structure and concept it reminds me of Waylon Jennings classic, “Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way.” Only here, the question is about someone bigger than Hank. It’s about a man who spends his life chasin’ the devil only to be reminded at every turn that this may not be the best plan.
Morgan Wallen has a habit of posting new songs constantly, some of which never see the light of day in terms of being properly recorded and released. I hope that isn’t the case with this one. I can’t be the only person who hears this song and then wants to avoid mirrors.
