What Is That Weird Sound Being Heard In A Charlotte, NC Suburb?
WCNC is reporting that if you live in Huntersville you could be hearing things. A loud hum is being reported by a bunch of residents. But what is it?
WCNC Charlotte’s Chief Meteorologist Brad Panovich speculated the sound could be an early growl test of the sirens by Duke Energy. Colonial Pipeline and Duke Energy have both said they are not responsible for the noise. Colonial Pipeline specifically said they were not doing work at that time that would have warranted that sound.
We have had all kinds of guesses here in the Country 103.7 studio. Captain Jim seems to think it is carpenter bees. Just because he had a recent run-in with some. I would guess there is something electrical making that hum. If you think you know, please let us know.
Country 103.7’s funniest guy in town is none other than Rob Tanner with Tanner in the Morning! Rob Tanner has been the host of WSOC-FM's Tanner in the Morning Show in Charlotte, NC for 20 years.
