Popular History Channel Show Is Struggling
The Daily Mail says Mike Wolfe, the star of the History Channel hit show American Pickers, is drawing concern with a recent social media post. Some say it might be partly because his popular History Channel show is struggling.
Wolfe added a video of himself speeding down the freeway in Iowa on his vintage two-wheeler with no protective gear. Iowa is one of a handful of states that don’t require helmets, but doctors have pointed out that motorcyclists who don’t wear them have a significantly increased risk of death or suffering a traumatic brain injury.
Wolfe’s post comes after news broke that his reality series dropped by 100,000 viewers following a boycott of the show after Frank Fritz’s exit. In 2021, Fritz revealed he hadn’t spoken to Wolfe in two years, after undergoing back surgery saying, ‘He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is.”
