Target Will Not Be Open On Thanksgiving Day
If you run out of ingredients for your Thanksgiving morning pumpkin pie baking, don’t run to Target. For the fourth year in a row, Target will not be open on Thanksgiving Day.
Target’s chairman and CEO released a statement. Brian Cornell says in the report, we got from our source Channel 9, “It’s hard to believe nearly four years have passed since we last opened our stores on Thanksgiving. Staying closed for the first time on Thanksgiving Day 2020 helped us take care of our team and guests during the pandemic. But once I heard from team members how much they appreciated that time with their families, it was an easy decision to make the policy permanent, and our store teams have had that time off ever since.”
Not everyone that works at Target will get the day off according to Channel 9. Those that work will receive holiday pay according to the company policy. Target isn’t the only store that will be closing its doors for Thanksgiving. Last month, WalMart made a similar announcement.
