Charlotte Douglas International Adding A New Exotic Daily Flight

Nonstop from Charlotte to Tulum, Mexico.  Yes, please.  Charlotte Douglas International is adding a new exotic daily flight.  We are guessing this will make a lot of travelers very happy.

According to Channel 9 the addition starts next spring.  Charlotte Douglas is one of three airports that have picked up this destination with nonstop flights.  You will be flying to a brand new airport in Mexico. The Tulum Airport is supposed to open in December.

The other two airports with new daily flights to the new airport in Tulum are Dallas/Fort Worth and Miami International Airport. The once daily direct flight to Tulum, Mexico starts March 28 on a year round basis from Charlotte.  To get more details, check out our source WSOCTV.

American Airlines Is Adding Numerous Flights From Charlotte Douglas To Warmer Weather In The Caribbean This Winter

Blue water, white sand, palm trees, a fruity cocktail at a swim-up bar, all instead of subfreezing temperatures? It just got easier. Charlotte’s gateway to the Caribbean American Airlines just announced expanded flight offerings to help you beat those winter blues. American announced today expanded service beginning December 5th. According to a press release, this will increase seat capacity on flights from Charlotte to the Caribbean by 10% compared to winter 2022.

“This coming winter we’re looking forward to adding more service to the destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean that our customers want to visit, including popular spots like Cancun, Montego Bay, and Punta Cana, as well as our newest destination, Tortola,” said José A. Freig, Vice President of Operations and Commercial for Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America. “We are proud to strengthen our lead as the largest U.S. airline in the region, with more flights and seats to more destinations than any other single carrier or partnership.”

I can definitely be persuaded to take a Caribbean flight this winter. But why wait til winter? I’m craving a tropical vacation now!
