World Atlas says these North Carolina towns will greet you with lots of smiles. Salisbury, Monroe, Garner, Goldsboro, Morrisville, Cornelius, and New Bern made the list.
World Atlas wrote this about Salisbury, “Dive into Downtown Salisbury through Trolley Tours, where narrators guide you through historic sites like the original Cheerwine building, Salisbury National Cemetery, and the sole Civil War prison site in North Carolina.”
In Union County, the city of Monroe also made the list. World Atlas says, Founded in 1844 and named after the fifth President of the United States, James Monroe, Monroe exudes historical appeal.
To the North of the city of Charlotte lies Cornelius. World Atlas describes the town like this, Mecklenburg County cradles Cornelius on the shores of Lake Norman, the largest man-made lake in North Carolina. The lake invites enthusiasts to engage in a variety of water activities, such as boating, fishing, and lakeside relaxation.
