You go to college for four years, wear a long gown and then yada yada yada you switch the tassel over and you are ready to take on the world. This graduation ceremony will surely be a whole lot more memorable.
This year’s Duke University graduates will most likely have a ceremony that won’t get boring. On May 12 comedian Jerry Seinfeld will deliver the universities commencement address at Wallace Wade Stadium on the campus of Duke University. Oh and this is nice. While he is there he will also receive an honorary doctor of arts degree from the university. So after May 12, that is Dr. Jerry Seinfeld to you (and me).
Duke University made the announcement over the weekend during Saturday’s men’s basketball game between Duke and the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. According to the Charlotte Observer, they made the announcement in a memorable way. After a series of clips, you see Seinfeld breaking the fourth wall and addressing the viewer directly. He says in the video, “I cannot wait, I got a lot of things to tell ya.”. This is going to be good. IF you are lucky enough to be a Duke graduate or know one really well.
Jerry Seinfeld reportedly has ties to Duke University. He and his wife Jessica are parents of two kids who attended school at Duke. One of them is still a student there. And to answer the question you might have right now, did he drop the kids off at school himself. According to the Charlotte Observer, yes he did. Both he and Jessica were spotted taking the kids to school and frequenting local restaurants.
