Mixed Drinks To Go? Governor Cooper Says Yes!

Among the statements that have become commonplace in 2020 that I NEVER thought would be…how about, “North Carolina Governor gives his seal of approval to picking up mixed drinks to go to avoid people being around people in a restaurant/bar.”
Yeah, let me spell this out a little clearer for you. In order to “social distance,” and keep people from congregating in a restaurant or bar past 9-10 pm (because we all know Covid-19 doesn’t go to work until after then, right?), North Carolina Governor, Roy Cooper is about to give his stamp of approval on a plan to allow people to pick up mixed drinks to go as part of their take-home food order.
Is it just me, or has the Governor decided that enticing-shoot-opening the door to drinking and driving is better than sitting in a restaurant?
As if 2020 can’t get weirder.
Or more dangerous.
