Ready For Jet Powered Coffin Car?
Happy Halloween. And since we’re celebrating all things spooky, quirky, and scary, welcome to the world of Robert Maddox. I guess I just haven’t been aware of this guy’s shenanigans, but apparently, he’s been up to things like this for years. Remember “The Munsters?” I love “The Munsters.” Famously, “Grandpa Munster” built and piloted the “Dragula” drag racer.
Well, that was fiction. Robert Maddox has raised it to a new real level. Oregon inventor Robert Maddox has gifted the “Dragula” with a majorly powerful 21st century upgrade. And by upgrade, I mean given the coffin car two pulse jet engines. The engine in the Maddoxjets Coffin Car weighs 300lbs and can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in nine seconds. That’s faster than a Toyota Prius. And I hasten to point out…it’s a coffin!
According to the Daily Mail, Robert Maddox specializes in creating vehicles powered by pulsejet engines, and sells plans to his designs as well parts on his website. Previous inventions include the Acme jet skateboard and the jet-powered Cyclone 50 bicycle.
Whatever you’re riding in today on Halloween, you may think you’re cool. But you’ll never been Robert Maddox-ripping down the street in drag racing coffin-cool.
