Morgan Wallen Helps Renovate Knoxville Park So Kids Can Share His Passion
Seems like we get plenty of bad press about Morgan Wallen, but he also does a lot of good. Knoxville knows that after his help to renovate a park.
Morgan’s BIG Donation
After a devastating UCL injury ended Morgan Wallen’s high school baseball dreams, the country music star found his passion for music. Now, as Wallen returns to his hometown of Knoxville, the singer will perform homecoming concerts at Neyland Stadium and take time to give back to the youth. Gibbs Youth Sports received $140,000 from the Morgan Wallen Foundation to rehabilitate Ruritan Park on Tazewell Pike.
The Money Will Help Foster The Love Of Baseball
Gibbs Youth Sports President Nate Stachey said the funds will establish an indoor practice facility for year-round baseball. The foundation plans to renovate the field house with indoor batting cages, pitching lanes, and a fielding area, as well as the park with a new scoreboard, dugouts, seating, and concession stand. Gibbs High School helped Wallen improve his baseball and music. Lesli, Wallen’s mother, said giving back to East Tennessee and performing at Neyland Stadium are meaningful to her and her son.
