Dishin’ With Debbie Cherry Kiss Cookies
I can't believe it's already Valentine's! Even if you don't have a dedicated sweetie this year, it's always fun to indulge in sweet treats to celebrate the holiday. So, with that in mind let's dive into these Valentines treats in the form of Cherry Kiss Cookies you can enjoy yourself or share with those you love. These remind me of a delicious cookie my hometown bakery in Texas used to make year round. They were a crumbly buttery shortbread type cookie made into a pretty swirl design and topped with a bright red candied cherry. I always ate my way around the cookie base, saving the cherry for last! Cherry Kiss Cookies Valentines Treats These Valentines treats come together fairly easily with a basic cookie dough with the usual suspects, including butter, powdered sugar, granulated sugar and flour. But, then we take a little turn with the addition of maraschino cherry juice, almond extract and maraschino cherries along with chocolate kisses. The combo of chocolate and cherry is delicious. Who doesn't love a chocolate covered cherry? After putting the ingredients together, the dough is scooped into balls and rolled in sugar. After a quick chill, the cookies are baked. And finally, they're topped with the chocolate kiss candy. They're perfect for the occasion. So, let's get a look at how they come together. https://www.canva.com/design/DAGeolPwpbY/L29NMNwcVXgmXf7plJa7Zg/view https://youtu.be/tT8X7dip81Q?si=zYN749aMwrigaAJt
