ChristmasVille Rock Hill South Carolina Returns For Another Wildly Popular Celebration
Once we put away all the Thanksgiving leftovers, it’s time to get ready for Santa! And, that means Rock Hill, South Carolina gears up for another ChristmasVille celebration. And, the wildly popular annual festival takes place November 30 through December 3 this year. But, you can’t have a Christmas festival without Santa in attendance to kick things off.
So, the grand opening festivities culminate with the highlight of Santa’s arrival. But, that’s not all. The award-winning ChristmasVille festival offers close to 70 events and activities. And, it’s something straight out of a Hallmark scene. Take part in horse-drawn carriage rides, historic tours, Dickens carolers, a gingerbread house contest and ice skating!
Find the legendary event in Old Town Rock Hill for one of the most magical experiences of the season. And, according to their website, trolley transportation makes exploring the event super easy. The trolley makes stops at 4 key locations along what they lovingly refer to as the “Merry Mile.” Stops include the ice rink, carousel, vendors and the parking decks.
Their website explains ChristmasVille in Rock Hill, South Carolina draws inspiration from Rock Hill’s adopted son, Vernon Grant. Grant was a children’s illustrator and the artist known for the famous characters that make the popping sounds on every box of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies. Grant’s ties to Rock Hill began when he met and married a Rock Hill native working in New York in 1936. After World War ll, the family moved to South Carolina and established a farm outside of Rock Hill. ChristmasVille is a non-profit organization depending on community businesses for support and volunteers. Their support makes free activities like attractions and rides possible.
ChristmsaVille in Rock Hill definitely promises to boost that warm, fuzzy Christmas spirit in all of us. So, check their website and social media to plan your visit!
All the New Hallmark Christmas Movies for this Year

With that in mind, The Hallmark Channel is already getting into the Christmas spirit, with a new Christmas movie dropping every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 8 pm ET. On the weekend of October 20, Hallmark kicked off their “Countdown to Christmas” with Checkin’ it Twice, Where Are You, Christmas?, and Under the Christmas Sky. On the weekend of October 26, the channel debuts Ms. Christmas Comes to Town, Christmas By Design, and Mystic Christmas.
Some of the actors and actresses who will be featured in the films include Kevin McGarry, Kim Matula, Lyndsy Fonseca, Michael Rady, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Ryan Paevey, Rebecca Dalton, Jonathan Keltz, Jessy Schram, Chandler Massey, Jaicy Elliot and Brant Daugherty, among many others.
Hallmark has made an industry of sorts out of holiday movies and most of them get re-aired every year. Per Vox, the 2006 film The Christmas Card, made Hallmark realize that it could focus on Christmas programming in November and December. And that film has continued to air every holiday season since its debut.
Appropriate for a channel that was started by a greeting card company, Hallmark does very well with seasonal programming. But apparently, they work on Christmas programming all year round. The Vox feature reports that they shoot Christmas movies even in the summer. Of course, they have to put effort into making it always look like Christmas. But it’s surely worth it to come up with tons of Christmas content.
Take a look below at the full schedule. And for more information about every new movie, head to their “Countdown to Christmas” site.
