The Real “Radio” Passes Away
James Kennedy was an inspiration in the state of South Carolina. However, you may not recognize him by that name. To everyone, he was “Radio.”
Kennedy has been synonymous with T.L. Hanna High School since the 1960s. He started showing up on the field at football games when he was a teen and was a fixture of the team since then. The world came to know James after Cuba Gooding Jr. (pictured above) played him in the movie ‘ Radio.’ Radio was the heart and soul of T.L. Hanna for over 50 years, said Kyle Newton. He will be missed, but his legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched.
If you haven’t seen the movie, you’ll be a better person for it.
