Flashback To What We Didn’t Know Was The Last Visit Before…
I had this show up on my Facebook Timeline today, and it really took me back-and not in a good way. One of the things that used to happen all the time was artists would come by and spend significant time in studio with us when they were in town for concerts. These visits often took place before we went on the air and were usually attended by listeners with a special invite. They would last 30 minutes to an hour and we’d record and film them for use on the air and website later. The long-form interview is best for really getting to know the artist and their music. We love and loved doing them. Two years ago today, September 20, 2019 a brand new artist named Matt Stell dropped by. His new song “Pray For You” was making it’s way up the charts and he spent some time letting us get to know him before his performance that night at the EpiCenter at Rooftop 210.
Wow. How much has changed in two years. The EpiCenter and Rooftop 210 are memories. And gosh we had some cool shows up there. And this visit from Matt Stell was the last such before the Covid-19 Pandemic hit. We haven’t been able to have one since. I hope they come back soon.
