Charlotte Football Club Partners with American Cancer Society for This Weeks Game
This Sunday’s Charlotte Football Club game is going to be extra special. The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network will be the official non-profit sponsor of the home game and give back to those in need.
The fight against cancer doesn’t just happen within the walls of a research lab but extends to the halls of city halls, Capitol buildings, and Congress. Did you know that Cancer is the leading cause of death for North Carolinians? This year alone, an estimated 65, 320 residents will be diagnosed, a number that has yet to reflect the effects of the pandemic. My own mother lost her battle with cancer back in 2015 and I can tell you from my personal experience how cancer ruins a family.
The Charlotte Football Club is aware of the pain cancer has in North Carolina and wants to lend a hand. For this Sunday’s game, a portion of ticket sales will go toward supporting ACS CAN’s advocacy efforts. This will be helping in the state of North Carolina and at the federal level to ensure public policies to help prevent and save lives from cancer.
This week’s home game is Sunday, April 10th at 1:30 PM against Atlanta at the Bank of America Stadium. You can see more about tickets and pricing for this Sunday’s game here.
