Could The Carolina Panthers Pursue Tom Brady?
My intent was to fall asleep once the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers game was out of reach. The Bucs did recover an onside kick to make it a slightly more interesting game at the end. But the game had been out of reach for a while. For some reason, I kept watching, even into the post-game. And as I watched Tom Brady throw that last touchdown and then walk into the locker room I, like many others wondered, is this it? Now that could be for football in general. He actually retired last year for all of a few days, or just with Tampa. After having watched both NFL teams I cheer for lose to Brady in the Superbowl and then having him come to a division rival of the Panthers, I’d be happy to see him go. But regardless of my personal opinion, he’s one of, if not the, greatest to ever play the game. And I don’t know, that was a rough ending to a rough season and I just don’t think he wants to go out like that. So where could Tom Brady play football next year and could the Carolina Panthers possibly pursue number 12?
It’s no secret that the quarterback position has been a revolving door ever since Cam Newton’s injuries and subsequent (first) exit from the team. Many people feel that drafting a rookie is the way to go. And for the long term, it is. But a proven veteran? With the rest of the pieces around him it could be a “win now” situation. Which is what Brady is ultimately looking for. That being said, I wouldn’t hold my breath that Brady suits up in black and blue in 2023. He very well may not come back as a Buc either though. Every sports blog in the country will be speculating about where Brady goes. As of right now here are 5 of the most talked about landing spots for Tom Brady.
It will be the most talked about off season story line until a decision has been made. But it doesn’t look like the Carolina Panthers would be an option for Tom Brady. Do you think he should go ahead and retire? If not where would you like to see him play?
