Greg Olsen is one of the most beloved Panthers players of all time. He has made himself an integral part of the community raising money for Levine Children’s Hospital through his Heartest Yard Foundation. And who could discount his contributions to the organization as a player. These days Olsen spends his time as an analyst for Fox. And it’s that gig that has the Panthers legend nominated for an Emmy. Well, a Sports Emmy, which is one of the highest honors available to broadcasters.
Olsen is one of five nominees in the outstanding personality/emerging on-air talent category. The other nominees in his category are:
- ESPN/ABC/SEC Network’s Andraya Carter
- ESPN’s Robert Griffin III,
- ESPN’s Eli Manning
- ESPN’S JJ Redick
The 44th Annual Sports Emmy Awards will be presented at New York’s Lincoln Center on Monday, May 22nd. Good luck Greg! Get all the info on Greg Olsen the Panthers legend now nominated for a Sports Emmy via the Panthers.
6 Former Carolina Panthers Nominated For Pro Football Hall Of Fame
Six players who spent time with the Carolina Panthers could be going to Canton, Ohio. WCNC-TV reports that the former Panthers are on a list of 129 players who have been nominated for enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2023.
The list is comprised of modern-era players who have played within the last 25 NFL seasons, so you shouldn’t have any trouble remembering the former Panthers pictured below. Most of them played on the team that went to Super Bowl XXXVIII, including WR Steve Smith Sr., QB Jake Delhomme, WR Muhsin Muhammad, K John Kasay, and OT Jordan Gross. CB Charles “Peanut” Tillman only played one season with the Panthers, but it was during their second Super Bowl run in 2015. He spent most of his career with the Chicago Bears.
