Panthers Fans Confidence Going Into 2023 Season Ranks 5th Lowest In The NFL
Expectations are typically high going into the new season of any sport. And the NFL is no exception. With 17 regular season games in front of you literally anything can happen. And I mean literally. Sports analysts were saying the Panthers’ season was over before it started in 2015 when Kelvin Benjamin got hurt in training camp. The team went on to start 15-0 and reach the Super Bowl. As a Russell Wilson fan, I thought the Broncos would easily make the playoffs last year, they weren’t even close. The start of the season can be full of optimism and that’s part of what makes sports special. But Panthers fans (myself included) may not have much confidence going into the 2023 season.
Our friends at USBetting Report recently shared with us a study they conducted about the confidence of NFL Fans ahead of Week 1. To do this they surveyed 2,000 NFL fans of a variety of ages and genders. An equal number of fans of each team were surveyed. Using this data they compiled a ranking of the teams by confidence. And the Panthers, well fans don’t have much confidence in their team. I’d say at this point I am not shocked when the team loses and I’m honestly not that let down because it’s the outcome I expect. The home team ranked as one of the 5 teams with the lowest expectations. See where they ranked below. You can read the full study and methodology here.
