We’ve all been completely heartbroken seeing the devastation facing areas of North and South Carolina following Hurricane Helene. So many are coming together to send aid to those in need. And, a North Carolina brewery hurricane relief effort is among those.
North Carolina Brewery Hurricane Relief
According to WCNC, several breweries around Charlotte are coming together, shipping water to the folks impacted by the hurricane. The announcement came from NoDa Brewing Company in cooperation with Bird Song Brewing Company, the NC Brewers guild and other Queen City based breweries to send water and supplies to those impacted.
In conjunction with breweries in Western North Carolina, the North Carolina brewery hurricane relief effort plans to send a tractor trailer filled with water early this week which will be distributed by the breweries in the mountains to communities who need it most. Plus, there are more talks in the works with breweries in other parts of North Carolina to join in as well with the North Carolina brewery hurricane relief efforts.
It’s hard to believe the pictures and footage we see from places like Asheville and the surrounding areas. The spots we have loved and visited so many times are now practically unrecognizable. Roads are washed away, businesses crumbled and loss of life are unimaginable. Reports indicate the death toll is at least 90 across the Southeast so far. And, flooding remains an issue.
