Brantley Gilbert’s Baby Born On Tour Bus
Sometimes you just never know what you’re going to get for your ticket at a country concert. For that matter, sometimes the artists themselves don’t know what they are getting into. Take for example, Brantley Gilbert. Friday night, he was set to play another show in Tupelo, Mississippi. Ho-hum. No big deal, done it a thousand times.
Uh, not so fast. Gilbert was just a couple of songs into his set when he left the stage. I’m sure the crowd was a little more than puzzled. Turns out he had a really good reason. You see, Brantley’s wife Amber was very pregnant. And by very pregnant I mean, she was ready to give birth. AND DID. This had to be one of the wildest moments any performer can have. Gilbert posted video to his Instagram showing him racing from the stage to his tour bus where his wife was giving birth to his son.
He wrote on the ‘Gram, “So last night might have been the craziest night of my life. Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget. Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little dude into the world, Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us mad love and support, and most of all … Amber Gilbert, for letting me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be. I love you.”
Now, with that done. What’s a new dad to do? Why get back on stage and pay for diapers and baby formula of course! And yes, he let the crowd in Tupelo know what the score was.
