You want some old school Queen City Glam in your life? Well, we got some historic Charlotte destinations to throw in the mix and suggest you visit.
The Historic Rosedale Plantation- A place that is truly rich in history, Rosedale Plantation has been restored and is the last of the Antebellum homes in the Charlotte area given the age of the Queen City. There are both a garden tour and a house tour available for purchase.
The Duke Mansion- Nothing says Gilded Age like the one and only mansion of James Buchanan Duke. Built in 1915, this is now a bed and breakfast and the ultimate time travel destination. Fun fact, the mansion is 103 years old this year!
Charlotte Liberty Walk- With a series of bronze plaques and monuments that detail the city’s vital importance during the American Revolution and is a great way to get in touch with Charlotte’s developmental past.
Camp North End- The oldest two buildings on the site date back to 1924, when Ford built a factory there to produce Model Ts and Model As. Now aged and coming back with an awesome artistic look and located in a former factory, this new hot spot has shops, food vendors, weekend markets and brings the Charlotte community together.
