Dishin’ With Debbie-Frozen Blueberry Margarita
In going thru our files searching for cocktails we’ve shared with you over the years (you know, to find something fun for the 4th), we came across this one from 3 years ago. Granted, initially this was presented for a Cinco De Mayo celebration, but who is going to present opposition to a delicious, fruity, margarita for July 4th? That’s what we thought too. We’ve all made/had strawberry margaritas plenty of times. However, have you ever thought of a blueberry version? We hadn’t either…until this recipe! So grab some tequila and blueberries, and get blending this weekend!
Ingredients: (makes 2 drinks)
-2 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
-1 cup crushed ice
-1/2 cup silver tequila
-2 1/2-3 tablespoons sugar
-2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
-1 tablespoon triple sec
-lime juice and coarse sugar to rim glasses
Instructions: Place all ingredients into the blender. Starting on low, gradually increase to get a smooth mixture. Rim the glasses with lime and dip in sugar.
