Most people think about how they are going to be better and do better in the new year. Studies show that if you actually call them “new year’s resolutions”, you are less likely to accomplish them so let’s not call them that. To that end, millions of people in the Carolinas are flocking to gyms this month. Here are the best gyms in North Carolina and South Carolina.
There are so many gyms, how can you tell which ones are better. The website Cheapism has taken out some of the guess work and found the best gyms in every state. They determine the “best” by trainer to trainee ratio, variety functionality and quality of equipment, and last but not least, results!
Cheapism says Capital Strength and Conditioning is the best gym in North Carolina. You can find it at 2422 Atlantic Avenue in Raleigh.
In South Carolina, the study found that Chucktown Fitness is the best. It is locally owned in Charleston and is open 24/7.

This Is What The Average North Carolina Gym Membership Will Cost You
How much does a North Carolina gym membership cost compared to other places? MyProtein recently conducted a study that named New York as the most expensive state for gym-goers. Which probably doesn’t come as much of a shock. In fact NYC had an average cost of $105.56 for a monthly membership. The next highest cost? $77 in DC. In contrast, the cheapest state, Alabama, has an average gym cost of $22.
Myprotein used cost of living data to uncover the prices of gym memberships across the country. Obviously gym memberships can very dramatically from discount places charging around $10 to boutique fitness gyms charging in the hundreds for a month.
