Will you wear gloves at the gas pump?

Using razor blades to harm people isn’t new. Back in the day trick or treaters were given apples on Halloween night with razor blades placed in them. Yes, people are evil enough to do this activity to children. As children, mom and dad would inspect our treats before we ate them. Speaking of razor blades, yesterday WSOC-TV reported on the crime of placing razor blades on gas pump handles. Investigators are now looking at video footage along businesses on Highway 74. We hope they find the evidence needed to arrest these types of criminals. Does this criminal act sound like the behavior of a teen or adult? The Department of Agriculture found the first razors at three businesses during a routine inspection, which prompted a search of other pumps and stations.

The rusty razors were found at the BP on South Broadway Street and the Shell station at the 74 Junction. According to ABC affiliate WLOS, their photos revealed rusted blades attached to gas pumps. WCNC-TV reported that Forest City Police Department is warning residents to be extra careful of their surroundings after razor blades were found on some gas pump handles. Investigators have received reports of razor blades being placed in gas pump handles in Forest City and surrounding areas.
