Free Training

Per Scholas North Carolina is headquartered in Charlotte and offers free technology training to people in Charlotte and throughout North Carolina. Per Scholas offers economic opportunity and mobility. More than 80% of Per Scholas’ learners are people of color, and one in three are women. In addition, Per Scholas will share professional development and robust employer connections with students. The reasoning for offering these opportunities is that traditionally minorities are under-represented in technology. To register, click here.

Per Scholas launched in Charlotte in June 2020. To date, about 280 students have been trained in java development, cybersecurity, IT support, and more in North Carolina. They are now working in technology roles at TEKsystems, UPS, Charter Communications, Lowe’s, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and more. Prospective students go through an application and admissions process to determine they are a good fit. Students benefit from the 12 to 15-week training and students can score a job with the many companies that donate to Per Scholas. Businesses from Fortune 500 companies to innovative start-ups need more tech talent, and this training is the perfect fit. Folks in Charlotte and beyond in North Carolina need more opportunities for well-paying jobs.
