I may be biased but I think that Coyote Joe’s is easily the best place to watch a country concert in North Carolina. And if there is one thing I have done, it’s travel to see some country concerts. So I feel qualified to make that statement. But I’m not the only one who feels that way. My (and all of us here at Country 1037) favorite country venue was recognized as one of five nominees for the ACM Award of Club of The Year.

The ACM Awards, which historically have taken place the beginning of April, will be held this year on May 11th from the Ford Center in Dallas, TX. Viewers will be able to watch on Prime Video with the show beginning at 8 p.m. ET. However, the industry categories (which include Club of The Year), will be awarded during a separate ceremony to be held on August 23 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. So unfortunately we have to wait a little while longer to find out if Coyote Joe’s takes home the prize.

Another notable industry category nominee is the Carolina Country Music Festival which is held yearly in Myrtle Beach, SC. Great to see this wonderful festival recognized as well. Here are the other country venue nominees for the Club of The Year ACM Award.

  • Billy Bob’s Texas – Fort Worth, TX
  • Coyote Joe’s – Charlotte, NC
  • Grizzly Rose – Denver, CO
  • Gruene Hall – New Braunfels, TX
  • Joe’s on Weed St. – Chicago, IL
