South Carolina Man Beats The Odds And Wins $2 Million From A Losing Lottery Ticket
Like many of us who play the lottery from time to time, once we realize we have a losing lottery ticket we throw it out. However, don’t be so quick to throw out those non winning lottery tickets every time. According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, A Rock Hill, South Carolina man revived that scratch off and won a $2 million second chance lottery prize.
Months ago, the South Carolina man purchased a $10 Instant Millions scratch-off during a work break. And, similar to many lottery players’ experiences, it turned out to be a non-winning ticket. But, luckily he didn’t toss it right away.
The Rock Hill lottery player entered the ticket in the “Instant Millions Second-Chance Promotion. And, he became one of more than 1.4 million entries the lottery received. But, his ticket happened to be picked. So, the South Carolina man beat the odds and won a $2 million second chance lottery prize from a losing ticket. The fortune was the grand prize in the second chance lottery promotion.
And, I guess this goes against all those folks who tell you to throw everything out that doesn’t “spark joy.” Well, even though the original scratch off didn’t immediately spark joy for this Rock Hill, South Carolina man, it came eventually as a slow burn that burst into flames of happiness.
So, I will keep a closer eye on the South Carolina Education Lottery website for more info on future “second chance” drawings when they come around. And, you can bet I won’t be so quick to just toss what seem to be worthless tickets.
As for the winner of this second chance grand prize in the lottery, he tells lottery officials he plans to take things slow and spend carefully.
