Iconic North Carolina Racing Family Honored With Street Race and Festival

We loved Dale Earnhardt. It was not uncommon to see him at the radio station back in the day. And he, his memory and his family will always hold a special place in our hearts. Many folks around here feel the same way. This iconic North Carolina racing family will be honored with a street race and festival in Kannapolis.
Old Armor Beer Company and US Legends car teams are collaborating with Dale’s oldest son Kerry for the event. The Earnhardt Outdoors Showdown will be May 25 according to Channel 9. Kerry will serve as grand marshall and other members of the family reportedly will attend.
You can expect a parade of cars and drivers, led by an “original” Intimidator. Both Kerry and his Dad drove that car according to the television station. There will also be food trucks on site, even a special beer made just for the occasion by Old Armor called Earnhardt Outdoors Ale.
So where is it and how much does it cost? It is free! The iconic North Carolina family honored with a street race and festival event will start at 2:30 on May 25.
