A Fast Casual Chain Restaurant Is Now Serving Lobster, Would You Try It?
There are plenty of people who must eat fast food seafood. After all places like Captain D’s exist and McDonald’s has the Filet o Fish on its menu. I personally am not a big seafood person if it’s not freshly caught at the beach. So fast food seafood is not a part of my diet. But this is a step up from the aforementioned restaurants, but is it a high enough step up? Healthy fast casual restaurant Panera just announced they are adding lobster to the menu this summer. And apparently both these lobster items have been on the menu in the past.
Panera announced they are bringing back a pair of fan-favorites with the return of the Lobster Roll and Lobster Mac & Cheese. The bad news, you’ll have to be in the Northeast to try them. Darn, I do have to say the Lobster Mac & Cheese sounded tempting as I love Panera mac & cheese. The items will be available at select Northeast Panera locations starting today. Panera’s Lobster Roll features lobster claw and knuckle meat, tossed in a lemon tarragon mayonnaise-based dressing and piled high on a New England Roll. The Lobster Mac & Cheese features Panera’s velvety smooth Vermont White Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese topped with buttered claw & knuckle lobster meat and seasoned Panko bread crumbs.
Panera locations with the new items include those in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island. So if you’re in the Northeast this summer, maybe give Panera a stop and try some fast casual lobster. If you do let me know how it is!
This North Carolina Restaurant Is The East Coast's Best Seafood Dive
When I think of a Seafood Dive I picture a hole-in-the-wall spot that you have second thoughts about even stepping inside, but it ends up being one of the best meals you’ve ever tasted. That’s why I was so excited when I came across this list from Ideal Living about the best seafood dive restaurants. I was even more impressed to learn that there is a North Carolina restaurant listed as one of the East Coast’s Best Seafood Dive restaurants. But I have to say after researching each of these restaurants, the term “dive” may be used graciously. The North Carolina spot, which is in Atlantic Beach, looks fantastic. But it also seems a little more high-class than your typical dive spot.
Other restaurants on this list are mainly congregated in the Northeast with one Florida spot making the list as well. All over fresh as can be seafood, cooking in local styles, and are immensely popular with tourists and locals alike. That’s the sign of a good establishment. You can read Ideal Living’s full article here or keep reading to see which North Carolina restaurant is the east coast’s best seafood dive. Have you stopped by there on vacation? I’d love to know how it is!
