Country’s Biggest Buc-ee’s Opens Close To North Carolina
Beaver Nuggets are just one of the many delicious snacks available at Buc-ees, recently recognized by USA Today as one of the top 10 "best gas station food" spots in the nation.
Yesterday was a BIG day for the fans of Buc-ee’s. The country’s biggest Buc-ee’s opened and it’s very close to North Carolina. It’s been years in the making and the day finally came. According to WBTV, this massive Buc-ee’s is located just outside of Western North Carolina.
The new travel center in Sevierville features 120 fuel stations, snacks (including the iconic brisket and beaver nuggets), award-winning restrooms, and a carwash.
This Buc-ee’s is one of the first businesses to open at “The 407 – Gateway to Adventure.” This area will eventually include many places to shop and will be including a theme park.
Amanda Marr of the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce said, “We really are excited about what it’s going to bring in terms of new things for people to see and do when they come to Sevierville. It’s going to open us up for people who are just passing through the area to stop and enjoy a little taste of what our town has to offer.”
The new location is a little over an hour from Haywood County, NC. This will be a must-stop for those going to Dollywood and the entertainment areas in that part of Tennessee. I will be stopping just to stock up on multiple bags of Buc-ee’s Beaver nuggets! Yummy.
These Two North Carolina Mountain Hotels Are The South's Best Hotels
Few things are better than the feeling you get when you walk into a top-tier hotel. You know the ones I’m talking about. The large welcoming lobbies, the friendly doorman, and the attention to every detail. And that’s not even counting the rooms. The nicest of linens, comfortable beds with turndown service, and bathrooms that feel spa-like. Now I’m ready to pack my bags! The type of hotel stay that leaves you dreaming of returning, not just to the city but to the hotel. While these types of accommodations aren’t typical of the many trips I take, I have had the opportunity to stay in a few of these luxurious places.
And two of the ones I have stayed at are both in North Carolina. In fact, they are both in the North Carolina Mountains. And these two hotels have something else in common as well. Both of these North Carolina hotels were named on Southern Living’s list of The South’s Best Hotels for 2023. Both offer guests incredible, memorable experiences. Each features spas, fabulous dining, and a gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountain setting. Oh, and both are immaculately decorated during the holidays. While any time of year is perfect to visit, Christmas is by far my favorite. Have I given it away yet?
