If you don’t love the United States of America, you need not apply. There is a new adult community in the tar heel state and the developer hopes to attract only patriotic people. It will be the 4th of July every day in this new North Carolina neighborhood
It’s called “1776 Gastonia” and the build is down South New Hope Road in Gastonia, North Carolina. The developer of the property says he is targeting civic minded people who share patriotic values. And it is open to people who share all political values. In other words, it will be the 4th of July every single day at “1776 Gastonia”.
Developer Brock Fankhouser tells Channel 9, “Our vision is to combine the elements of American patriotism, home ownership as the American dream, and the founding ideals of our country, Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
One rule is, you must fly an American flag every day. You must also agree to cherish the United States of America and embrace the constitution. Easy enough. The flag will come with the house you buy. Houses in the neighborhood start at $450,000. Fankhouser also shares with Channel 9 in Charlotte, “It’s very important to us that this not be presented as a political movement, because it’s not,” he said. “We are not beholden to any political figures and any political parties.”
One home in “1776 Gastonia” will reportedly be donated to an injured veteran. It will be the 4th of July every day in this new North Carolina neighborhood. To learn more get all the details from WSOC-TV right here.

One Of The Best Cities To Flip Houses Is In North Carolina
I love watching HGTV and I have to admit they make it look easy. Which makes me sometimes wish I could just invest in real estate by buying and flipping houses. Though I realize that process is extremely more extensive than shown in a 30-minute TV show. So while I may dream of it, I don’t see that project in my immediate future. Though the 5 and sometimes even six-figure payday is extremely tempting. If you are interested and a little handier, you’d be interested to know that one of the best cities to flip houses in, is located in North Carolina.
Because if you are going to take on an expensive and involved project, you need to know the return on your investment is there. It doesn’t matter how fantastic the home is if you price yourself out of the area with the renovations. I’ve talked to some people who are from Waco, TX and this was part of the issue with the Fixer Upper Homes. The market to live in that area just couldn’t support the flipping of those homes.
To determine the best cities to flip houses in North Carolina and throughout the country, WalletHub compared more than 170 U.S. cities. They used 26 key indicators of market potential, cost, and quality of life. Their data set ranges from median purchase price to average full home remodeling costs to real-estate agents per capita.
