New Myrtle Beach Restaurant With 3 Bars And Views Of Intracoastal Waterway Now Offers Reservations
We visit Myrtle Beach often, so we love to try all the new spots. And, this new Myrtle Beach restaurant with 3 bars overlooking the intracoastal waterway that opened this year will be perfect for the Fall weather that’s coming soon. And, they recently started offering reservations!
Of course we’re talking about Big Chill Island House. And, as of Monday, August 19th, guests are able to make reservations at Big Chill Island House for parties up to 10 people, no more than 30 days in advance. And, for parties larger than 10 but less than 20, guests can reserve two tables. It is not guaranteed they will be next to each other, however.
Plus, this new Myrtle Beach restaurant with 3 bars and beautiful views of the intracoastal waterway, happens to be from the same group that brought another of our favorite hangouts, Crooked Hammock Brewery. And, just like Crooked Hammock, Big Chill Island House is perfect for these cooler days when we all want to be outside.
Where And What Is This New Myrtle Beach Restaurant?
Well, also just like Crooked Hammock, this new Myrtle Beach restaurant is located at Barefoot Landing.
According to a Facebook post from Myrtle Beach Happy Hour, Big Chill Island House is a two story restaurant with three bars and some amazing views. The post says ‘it is almost like 3 different restaurants in one.’
Furthermore, guests also have the option of the large patio with cooling fans and al fresco dining, in addition to another bar! When we went, it was the height of the busy season. So, they weren’t accepting reservations. It was easy to grab a table between lunch and dinner. And, that’s when we went.
Here’s what we tried when we visited. I like a spicy drink, so I started with the Enfuego Margarita. It’s a house-infused jalapeno tequila, triple sec, house made sour mix and a tajin rim. It was so refreshing and delicious. And, what would be better to warm you up in cooler weather than a spicy cocktail?!
The Food At This New Myrtle Beach Restaurant
So, let’s talk food! Bill Chill Island House offers fresh seafood, trendy culinary delights and classic American fare according to their website. But, here’s a few highlights.
Some of their featured items sound mouth-watering, like the Kalua Pork Sliders, Rum Hot Honey Wings and Short Rib Bao Buns. Plus, there’s plenty of fresh salads and bowls, unique ‘sammies,’ and burgers on Hawaiian rolls!
We weren’t super hungry, so we chose the Short Rib Bao Buns from the starter menu at Big Chill Island House. They arrived warm and on fluffy steamed buns stuffed with juicy short ribs, jalapenos, onions, peppers and topped with spicy mayo. They were tasty. But, I am looking forward to exploring more of their yummy sounding menu.
I could go on and on about the food. But, this new Myrtle Beach restaurant also offers an array of libations. Fans of Crooked Hammock will recognize the ‘Painkilla.’
That’s an island vibe in a specialty glass with rum, pineapple, orange juice, cream of coconut, dark rum floater and fresh nutmeg.
And there’s plenty of other rum drinks, a classic mojito and a dark and stormy.
Also, check their site and socials for live music schedules at Big Chill Island House. Let’s go! And now that Big Chill is accepting reservations, we’ll definitely be back!
