New Ric Flair Documentary Coming For Christmas
Ric Flair has described himself a lot of different ways over the years. “Slick Ric,” “The Dirtiest Player in the Game,” and “The Man” (as in “To be the man, you gotta beat the man, and I’m the man”) are just a few. He is unquestionably one of, if not the best professional wrestler of all time. Another term that certainly I would use to describe him is complicated. For many years, Ric was “local” here in Charlotte. I not only would run into him here at the radio station, but out in public as well. And he was never anything but GREAT with me and as you can see below, my son.
That being said, I haven’t turned a blind eye or deaf ear to all the stories of divorces, arrests, bankruptcies, etc. associated with Ric and the Queen City. In fact, truth be told, I would be the reason Ric no longer lives here is that others are not as forgiving as I. Anyway, Ric’s life in and out of the ring would make a movie no one would believe. And without a doubt, the upcoming documentary on Ric slated to air on the Peacock streaming service is must-see.

If you’re thinking, “Wait, haven’t I seen this before?” You’re only partially incorrect. “Nature Boy” was the title of an ESPN “30 for 30” documentary on Flair a few years ago.
Ric was said to not even be remotely a fan of the finished product. “Woooooo! Becoming Ric Flair” will begin streaming on Peacock the day after Christmas (December 26).
