That Moment When Jason Aldean Pops Up On Stage At A Florida Tiki Bar
Kids, it’s story time again with Uncle Charlie. Today’s tale takes place at a little joint in Florida called, “Tiki 52.” What kind of place is this? Well, according to their website: Tiki 52 is the perfect little hidden gem nestled among the palms on US Highway 1 in Tequesta. The open-air restaurant and bar with woven tiki huts, a Caribbean feel and great cuisine is a great spot to enjoy live music from both national acts and some amazing South Florida local bands in our beautiful tropical setting. Come join our Tiki 52 family and enjoy the stunning water views in our laid-back, island atmosphere.
If I’ve been to one place like Tiki 52, I’ve been to a hundred. We all have, right? Shoot, there’s two or three places like this that I haunt down at Myrtle Beach several times a year. Now kids, I want you to imagine you just having a basic, relaxed Saturday night. You and your significant other decided, “You know what would end a great day like today? A little live music, sea breeze, and good food. I know, let’s go to Tiki 52.” And sure enough, that’s exactly what you get. In fact, you laugh at the performer on stage with his “baby fund” tip bucket. He sings pretty good and just as you’re about to contribute to the bucket and head home, someone steps on stage and begins singing. He sounds familiar. The song is Brooks & Dunn’s “Neon Moon,” but that’s neither Brooks or Dunn. Wait a minute…holy s**t! That’s Jason Aldean!
How cool is this?! The sad thing is it couldn’t last long. Word gets out REALLY quick these days on social media. If everyone finds out Jason Aldean’s singing for free or the cost of a burger and fries at Tiki 52, mayhem will ensue. I’ve never had this happen to me before, but I’d love for it to.
