Large Manufacturer Locates Headquarters In North Carolina Bringing Hundreds Of Jobs With Them
Regardless of how you feel about electric vehicles or EVs, the technology is here. And, just like any other industry it brings job opportunities with it. Now, we get the news that a large manufacturer of EV charger units chooses to locate its headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. And, along with it come hundreds of jobs.
According to WSOC, alpitronic America, Inc. announced the decision to put its North American headquarters in Mecklenburg County. And, with the move we expect around 300 jobs to be created. They plan the headquarters for a 70,000 square foot location off Westpark Dr. in Charlotte. The Italian company’s U.S. location includes office operations and a test and repair center.
Jobs expected to be associated with the EV charger unit manufacturer include developers and engineers, as well as a host of other opportunities in accounting and sales. Reports say look for jobs available between 2024 and 2027, with average annual wages around $90,000.
The Italian based company began in 2009 as a developer and producer of the “hypercharger.” And, recently EV charger manufacturer Atom Power announced a multi-million dollar expansion in Huntersville, North Carolina. Also, EV battery manufacturers and suppliers call the Carolinas home as well.
