So, we watched the New Year’s Eve festivities with Ryan Seacrest just like many of you. Then, it came time for the crowning of the Powerball first millionaire of the year. And, once again the Powerball first millionaire of the year title went to a North Carolina resident.
Believe it or not, another person from North Carolina became last year’s first millionaire of the year. Yes, we watched that happen too! But, this one was super entertaining. So, when the announcement came live on the televised event from New York, Pamela Bradshaw of Clinton heard her name announced. And, to say Pamela couldn’t contain her excitement is an understatement. Understandably, she jumped for joy and proceeded to tackle Ryan Seacrest before practically passing out on the floor.
It was exciting to see. I think we all have dreams of what we would do if we heard our name announced as the big money winner. But, you never know what you’ll do until you find yourself in that enviable position. The event was a part of Powerball’s second chance drawing. And, as part of that promotion, Pamela won a VIP trip to New York City. Then, she was one of 5 players chosen across the nation for a shot at the big million dollar prize.
So, as part of the 4 day trip, she scored the invitation to the iconic New Year’s Eve party in Times Square. And, her daughter went along. As for Pamela’s plans for the windfall, she says “I would love to have my own home that is mine and I feel safe in. Not anything fancy or big, just a little cottage or something with one or two bedrooms.”
