Take One Last Ride On DisneyWorld’s Splash Mountain
Disney World pulled the plug on Splash Mountain. On Monday, renovations for the famed ride began after it was announced two years ago that it would be “reimagined” after complaints arose of its affiliation with the film The Song of the South. According to EW, the wait was over 4 hours on Sunday to ride one last time.
Splash Mountain, Disneyland is also scheduled to close soon. The two rides will reopen as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, featuring Disney’s first Black princess, Tiana, from The Princess and the Frog. It will be open to the public in 2024. Ready for one last ride?
