Family Buys Fire Damaged Tennessee Mansion For A Steal

Meet the family that bought a fire damaged Tennessee mansion for a steal.  Zillow did not pull any punches when listing the house four days ago, the picture of the mansion shows flames shooting from the rooftop.

The mansion sits on a sprawling five acres right outside of Nashville in Franklin, Tennessee.  The big house comes with a really cute “guest” cottage.  Keep in mind Franklin, Tennessee is very high end.  Lots of our country music stars live in that area.  This massive property was listed at a steal at 1.4 million dollars.  I am guessing but this place would likely go for at least five million if it weren’t for the fire damage.

A lot of people were interested in the property, it got over 340,000 views on the real estate website.  But it was Mike Thakur that purchased the estate.  He says he feel sure he can do a lot of the repairs himself.  He plans to start by getting that roof back up but he was surprised at how in tact the house actually is. A few months ago, we did a story on the most expensive homes on the market in Charlotte, and since then there’s been a lot of change in the market! So we thought it was time to give the list a refresh and show you what’s out there.

Of course homes at these price ranges don’t sell quite as quickly as others might, but there’s still a lot of new stuff to see here. From historic homes to ones with full football fields for lawns, they are worth the look. Plus, some of the homes that were on here before have changed prices.

There are 30 homes currently listed above $3,000,000 in Charlotte. We left out the ones without photos though, just to be clear. We are looking at homes with four or more bedrooms, three or more bathrooms, and lots of amenities. Some are full-blown mansions. One includes a glass elevator. With that being said, let’s take a look at the most expensive Charlotte homes currently on the market, as of June 21, 2022, below.
