North Carolina Ice Cream Location Opens With Free Treats
Ok y’all, ice cream is one of our weaknesses. Even though over the last year our family made great strides in weight loss and healthy eating habits, ice cream calls to us in our dreams. And, now we have another option for satisfying those cravings. Charlotte On The Cheap reports Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream opens a location in Cornelius this week. Plus, the North Carolina ice cream location celebrates the opening with free ice cream! According to Handel’s, the first 50 guests on Thursday April 6 receive free scoops. They plan to make it an event with other giveaways and face painting and more to take place on Saturday.
I must admit I am not familiar with Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream. But, I’m willing to learn! In browsing their website, I find they offer more than 100 flavors of homemade ice cream, sherbets and ices. And, if you feel particularly adventurous try a sundae with toppings like caramel, marshmallow, peanut butter and more. I also noticed a menu item known as “Hurricanes.” So, it appears to be vanilla ice cream blended together with a number of candies. Ok, I’m in.
Furthermore, as any solid ice cream shop would, Handel’s serves up shakes and pops. Customers can select 4 scoop samplers, banana splits, ice cream sandwiches and dipped cones. Wow. And, there’s even malts, floats and treats for your pups!
Plus, a little history digging on Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream finds the brand has been making ice cream fresh daily at each store since 1945. Handel’s has more than 90 locations across the country. They also have one in Gastonia on Franklin Blvd. But, this new Cornelius location is at 20545 Torrence Chapel Rd. So, don’t miss out as this North Carolina ice cream location celebrates their grand opening with free ice cream!
