Fresh And Saucy New Chicken Restaurant Coming To Indian Trail North Carolina
Every weekend we have the same discussion in my house. What’s for dinner? Then, I usually end up doing a search on my phone to try and spark some ideas. And, this weekend up pops news of a new chicken restaurant coming to Indian Trail, North Carolina. Of course, they aren’t open yet. But, last week I passed the location and saw construction. Furthermore, I noticed online they are hiring for the location. And, after reading about them the words that come to mind are “fresh and saucy.” Their chicken is fresh, never frozen. And, they have a multitude of sauces.
And, to end the suspense I’ll tell you the new chicken restaurant coming to Indian Trail is none other than “Slim Chickens.” The chain is already in The Carolinas with two other locations. One is in Fort Mill, SC and the other in Charlotte on Prosperity Ridge Rd. Under “coming soon” the site lists 5118 Old Charlotte Hwy. across from Sun Valley High School. And, yep it’s right next to one of our other faves, “Culvers.”
So if you aren’t familiar with Slim Chickens, the menu features everything from wings to tenders, wraps and sandwiches to chicken and waffles. And, their sides are the typical fries, mac and cheese and cole slaw with some other tasty options as well. I spotted some fried pickles, fried mushrooms and fried okra. Plus, there’s plenty of yummy desserts, too, including shakes, jar desserts and brownies.
Finally, let’s discuss the sauces. In exploring the menu for this new chicken restaurant coming to Indian Trail, I discovered lots of sauces! There’s a couple of varieties of ranch, blue cheese, gravy, Korean BBQ, sriracha garlic, mango habanero and something called “Inferno.” And, that just scratches the surface. The only other spot I ever heard of with that many sauces belongs to celebrity chef Guy Fieri.
Anyway, no word yet on an opening date of the latest location in Indian Trail. But, the new restaurant is coming to Indian Trail, and they’re hiring. So, take a look at their Facebook page for more info on interviews and applications. But, in the meantime, I think I’ll give their Fort Mill spot a try and order up some sauces!
