I was just about to walk out the door when my friend Melanie at work alerted me that it is a very special day. It is International Doodle Dog Day today but for our purposes we will concentrate on our state. Happy North Carolina Doodle Dog Day!
So what exactly is a doodle dog. People have gone doodle crazy. Doodle dogs are really any breed mixed with a poodle. People are doing this now because they want the intelligence of the poodle and also want the hypoallergenic coat from the poodle. If you get very lucky like we did, you get the best of both breeds.
Honestly, I was not looking for a dog when we got our golden doodle Winnie. Winnie was supposed to go to Tanner’s house. It wasn’t the right time for his family. But then Tanner’s wife Missy shared the pic of the puppy and I fell in love. The rest is history. It is well documented that we are crazy about her. She has the laid back personality of the golden doodle and the intelligence of her poodle daddy. She is the fifth member of the Tanner In The Morning Show.
