Jeni’s Ice Cream To Introduce Popular Toaster Pastry Flavor And You Can Try It In The Carolinas
It’s just not summer without ice cream. And, one of my son’s favorite shops is Jeni’s Ice Cream in Charlotte. So, we’re pretty excited about the scoop shop introducing a new flavor inspired by a popular toaster pastry. It’s that “Pop Tarts Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon” flavor we can’t get enough of in the toaster. But, now it will be available in ice cream!
The ice cream brand announced on their social media accounts that the collab with Pop Tarts becomes available Thursday, June 22. They tease that it “won’t be around for long.” But, Jeni’s Ice Cream introduces the new flavor in scoop shops and online.
And, for die hard Jeni’s Ice Cream fans, they assure us that no actual Pop Tarts are in the ice cream. They only take “inspiration” from the beloved childhood favorite treat. The brand indicates they intend to keep it “Jenis-style” with all the fresh ingredients customers know and love. Of course, I still saw a lot of panic and complaining on social media about the announcement. But, that’s what people tend to do when they perceive a long time brand introducing something new.
Personally, I think it sounds delicious. And, I even saw a commenter suggest using the flavor to make ice cream sandwiches. Yes, please! Also, if you are familiar with Jeni’s, you know they have tons of innovative and cleverly named flavors already. Some faves include “Coffee with Cream & Sugar,” “Brandied Banana Brulee,” and Ted Lasso collab “Biscuits with The Boss.”
The Jeni’s Ice Cream website points out that their flavors are often inspired by “art, history, pop culture and beyond.” And, they make their products from scratch using recipes perfected by their founder. Check their website for locations of scoop shops near you for the new Pop Tart inspired flavor!
