Massively Popular Burrito Restaurant Is Coming Back To This North Carolina Town
The long nightmare is almost over. A massively popular burrito restaurant is coming back to this North Carolina town. As you can see, I can barely contain my excitement that Phatt Burrito is planning a return to Charlotte.
Phat Burrito left us 6 years ago after 20 years in Charlotte, North Carolina. Let me tell you, that was a sad day. It was located on Camden Road in South End and was a mere block away from the radio station where we work. Not a day went by that someone did not make a Phatt Burrito run. When they left us six years ago we mourned. To be honest with you I am not sure why they left us but all that doesn’t matter now. They are coming back! A lovely restaurant took it’s place but it just wasn’t the same.
You can imagine my glee when I found out from Channel 9 in Charlotte, that our beloved Phatt Burrito is planning a triumphant return. We won’t be able to walk there but we can take the light rail. It won’t be too far away. According to my google search the new Phatt Burrito will be located at 3543 Dewitt Lane. That is in the newly named LoSo area of Charlotte (lower South End). So I can take a quick light rail ride from where I work and I can be reunited with my beloved Phatt Burrito.
Why were we so in love with this massively popular burrito restaurant that is coming back to North Carolina? For one thing they are the biggest burrito I have ever seen, fat/phatt indeed. And they are stuffed with custom ordered fresh ingredients. One burrito usually lasts me several meals.

Here Are The 8 Restaurants We Visited During Our Annual Myrtle Beach South Carolina Vacation
We consider ourselves blessed to have a great circle of friends. I prefer to keep my tribe relatively small. That being said, our best friends we take most of our trips with are part of that tribe. And, when our sons were young we started a tradition of celebrating July 4th at Myrtle Beach. It’s something we look forward to. And, we treasure all our memories even more now that our boys are less available to us at 21 years old. So, through the years we found favorite spots we continue to visit each time. And, I thought it would be fun to share the 8 restaurants we visited during our annual Myrtle Beach South Carolina vacation this year.
There’s a time and a place for referencing scientifically arrived at data to determine the “best” of things. However, this list of 8 restaurants we visited during our annual Myrtle Beach, South Carolina vacation has no such data. It is simply a compilation of the spots we tried and loved. Therefore, take it as advice or travel tips to start you in the right direction. I love to visit restaurants of all kinds. And, with my love of food comes sincere, honest opinions about it.
Typically I give a spot a couple of tries in case they just have an off day. So, pretty much all of the places I choose to return to and write about are ones that made me happy in some way! And, when it comes to food, service and atmosphere these choices pass my test.
So, sit back and enjoy my list of the 8 restaurants we visited during our annual Myrtle Beach, South Carolina vacation this year. Plus, included in the 8 are a couple of ice cream shops we tried for the first time.
