We Have An Opening Date For The Latest Charlotte North Carolina Location Of This Breakfast Restaurant
I always keep my eyes open for new restaurants when I’m driving to or from work. We pass through Ballantyne on our way out to Indian Land, South Carolina. And, that area near I-485 continues to grow every day. For a while now I noticed a new First Watch under construction at Johnston Road near Ballantyne Commons Parkway. So, I did some digging and found that First Watch plans to open this location on August 14.
Now, First Watch restaurants are all over the Charlotte area. In fact, the first one we ever visited was in Waverly on Providence Rd. Of course, this latest location is appealing with its proximity to Ballantyne Hotel, I-485 and other new restaurants.
If you never visited First Watch, you’re in for a treat. They serve a delicious fresh breakfast, brunch and lunch made to order. I remember one of my favorite items on the menu was the “Million Dollar Bacon.” It’s four slices of smoked bacon with a glaze of brown sugar, black pepper, cayene and maple syrup. That satisfies that sweet, salty and spicy craving.
Plus, there’s plenty of indulgent as well as healthy options on the First Watch menu. I devoured the “Morning Market Veg Omelet.” And, although I haven’t tried lunch yet, the menu looks equally delicious. Also, First Watch puts great care into their juices and coffee beverages, too.
So, here’s a little trivia to share with friends. First Watch takes its name from a nautical term that refers to the “first shift of the day.” And, that makes sense given that their hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. But, with its popularity you might wonder about reservations. And, although they don’t offer reservations, check their website for waitlist opportunities. The countdown is on! And, I’m ready.
